Rev. David Mosher and our Licensed Unity Teachers invite you to join us for this beautiful service. A precious story will accompany the lighting of the 12 candles, and members of the congregation will also have their own candles to add light to the service. November 1 – March 31

The cold weather is upon us. Imagine being one of our homeless friends. From November through March we will collect warm winter clothes for the Springfield Winter Warming Center. Please help us fill the Give Warmly boxes in our church entryway with coats, gloves, hats, socks, scarves, and other warm clothing. Chris Zelle makes sure the items are delivered to the Warming Center regularly.

Imagine what a hot, home-cooked meal can mean to our homeless friends this winter. Each month, on the 3rd Saturday, our great S.O.S. Team cooks and serves a meal for the guests of the Springfield Overflow Shelter. Please consider joining us as a cook, server or BOTH! We also fill 60 gift bags at Christmas with fun and practical gifts donated by our congregation. Our planning meetings are the 1st Sunday, after morning service. For questions and more info contact Sandy Sheppard.

The Fourth Gospel: Tales of a Jewish Mystic by John Shelby Spong

Based upon excellent scholarship, Spong explores the Gospel according to John. This readable and informative book reads like “a cross between a detective story and an adventure saga.”

This class is open to everyone. If you were not attending the class last spring, and missed the first 16 chapters, you have time to read those before we resume our study. Feel free to join in our lively discussion of this excellent book.
